As a newcomer to town and from a non-Episcopalian faith, I was accepted unconditionally.
The St. Thomas community has many activities and events that bring us together in fellowship. We really love a party! Whether it is the monthly dinner held in the Noe building or conversation at coffee hour, socializing is the name of the game.
The community Easter Egg Hunt is held the Saturday afternoon before Easter on the grounds of the church. Children from the community hunt for eggs (over 700 of them), visit with the Easter Bunny and enjoy sweet treats.
Another important part of our parish life is working on community outreach and support projects, helping with Salvation Army, the Red Cross blood drive, the Haiti support mission or assisting parishioners and local families in times of need. The personal rewards from these activities are very fulfilling.
Our members embrace the core values expressed in our mission statement:
St. Thomas Episcopal Church is an active parish family with open arms for all persons who will worship and celebrate with us. We are committed to the enhancement of personal faith, service to those in need, respect for human diversity, thanksgiving for God's gifts, and growth in living the mission of Christ's Church.
